An Interactive Immigration Workshop for the Workplace
Practical guidance for employers and managers

A practical, interactive workshop designed for owners and managers of small and medium-sized businesses, particularly those in service-oriented and people-facing industries.

This workshop focuses on preparedness—helping employers think through decisions and take action before problems arise, calmly and lawfully. It is designed to support businesses navigating a changing immigration enforcement and compliance landscape, without fear-based messaging.

An immigration attorney will provide clear legal context, including an overview of California laws such as SB 294 (effective February 1, 2026) and AB 450. Participants will learn what employers can and cannot do, and how to respond appropriately to requests from immigration enforcement.

Rather than a lecture, the workshop uses realistic scenarios, guided discussion, and role-play to explore what workplace readiness looks like in real situations. The session is designed to be practical and grounded in the realities employers and workers face.

    Who This Workshop Is For

    This workshop is intended for:

    • Owners of small and medium-sized businesses
    • Managers, supervisors, and operations leads
    • Employers seeking practical, workplace-specific guidance
    • Businesses that rely on trust, stability, and clear internal procedures

    What Participants Will Take Away

    Participants will leave with:

    • A clearer understanding of employer rights and responsibilities
    • Practical guidance from an immigration attorney
    • A Workplace Immigration SOP (Standing Operating Procedures) packet to adapt and implement
    • Greater confidence in responding calmly and lawfully if issues arise

    Accessibility & Logistics

    • The facility is wheelchair accessible.
    • Light refreshments will be available 30 minutes before each session begins.
