Welcoming the Lunar New Year
Join us at Sonoma Clean Power on Saturday, February 28, 2026 for an afternoon of culture, food, and community as we welcome the Lunar New Year together. This event is part of our AAPIC Connect Cultural Makers Series, and is presented with support of the Sonoma Vietnamese Association (SOVA).
Celebrating our Many Traditions
Lunar New Year is celebrated across many Asian cultures as a time of renewal, family connection, and shared hope for the year ahead. We will be centering Chinese and Vietnamese celebrations of Lunar New Year and Tết — while also recognizing and welcoming the diverse ways our communities mark the beginning of a new year. This event includes:

Potluck luncheon - AAPIC will provide main dishes; guests are welcome to bring a side dish to share

Vietnamese spring roll demonstration and making

Calligraphy demonstration

Youth activities & crafts including mini scrolls and games for children and families.
