Come have fun learning and making a sushi roll from start to finish and learn more about the AAPIC North Bay and Sonoma County JACL. Light refreshments will be available. Children are welcome.
• Learn the history of Japanese sushi (it doesn’t mean raw fish), how to make the ingredients (rice and vegetables), and how to roll a futomaki sushi.
• Both experienced sushi-makers and novices are welcome! Sushi rolling instructors will be available on-hand to teach novice sushi-makers.
• Rice, Nori, and fillings for traditional sushi rolls will be provided for everyone registered to practice making 2 rolls of sushi. Fillings that will be provided include: egg, green bean, shitake mushroom, kampyo, and carrot.
• You are encouraged to bring your own sushi fillings and make your own sushi roll.
• Bring your own rolling mat, knife, and cutting board if you prefer.
• Registered sushi-maker attendees can go home with the sushi rolls they make and a sushi rolling mat.
• The completed sushi rolls will be labeled with your name so you will eat or take home what you have made.
