Call for Artists: RECA Annual Art Show at Finley Center, January 2027

10/23/2026 7:15 PM | Anonymous member (Administrator)

Our coalition partner, the Redwood Empire Chinese Association (RECA), is inviting artists to join its Annual Art Show in the halls and lobbies of the Finley Community Center in Santa Rosa.

The show has run for four years alongside RECA’s Chinese New Year celebration.

For the past four years, they have featured paintings and photographs of Judy Cheung, Grace Cheung-Schulman, Kevin Bjorke, Steve Lee, Audrey Odenkirchen and handmade pagoda/planters by Gary Anderson.

This year, they are planning to feature Kevin Bjorke, Steve Lee, and Audrey Odenkirchen. RECA members receive first priority for the remaining 2-4 featured artist spots, which are also open to artists in Sonoma County.

Details

• Who can apply: Artists in Sonoma County. You must be able to deliver and hang your work in person at the Finley Center.

• Eligible work: Professional display-quality photographs, paintings, or similar work with RECA, China, or Chinese culture as the main theme. 3D pieces under 12 inches wide may fit the lobby display case.

• Cost: None beyond preparing your artwork. RECA can help first-time exhibitors.

• Dates: Hang on Monday morning of January and take down on the last Thursday morning of January - Jan 4 to Jan 28, 2027.

• Sales: Art may be for sale. 100% of proceeds go to the artist, who handles the sale. RECA will advise.

• Hanging: Wall art hangs from wires, so it needs secure wires or hooks.
