Sebastopol World Friends, Sebastopol’s sister city program, will cerebrate its sister cities and their cultures at this popular annual tradition. They showcase food fromUkraine and Japan, where Sebastopol has its two sister cities: Takeo, Japan, and Chyhyryn, Ukraine. The highlight of this year’s event is to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the sister city relationship with Chyhyryn, Ukraine.At this event, JACL’s Sonoma County Cranes for Ukraine will help present the first 1,000 cranes to Consul General of Ukraine in San Francisco, Kushneruk Dmytro for the people of Chyhyryn.Those cranes were folded by the community members at multiple’fold-in’ events that Sonoma County Cranes for Ukraine organized since the project’s launch in June 2022.Also featured will be cultural entertainment by Zoloti Maky Ukrainian Dance Ensemble and a local Japanese taiko drumming group Tenten Taiko.Pre-registration is required as space is limited.Register here:https://www.tickettailor.com/events/sebastopolworldfriends/848475
