To celebrate Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, the Sonoma County Library brought many programs to learn about AAPI cultures.
This is an opportunity to learn the Japanese Obon Dance, a participatory dance. Traditionally, the Japanese have ‘Obon’ festivals in the summer where villagers come out to dance and commemorate their ancestors. Join performers from the Enmanji Buddhist Temple and the Sonoma County Japanese American Citizens League as you learn the steps! This is for all ages.
